Nathan lives in L.A. where he works for Brave New Foundation. D.C. and Denver were Nathan’s previous homes where he was a congressional staffer and a server/bartender respectively. He believes in empowerment, and is proud to be a part of ResponsAbility (X).
Kris is exploring opportunities to create social and environmental justice. Currently, Kris is an associate at the Sexton Company. His passion for social justice stems from an awareness of the poverty and privilege that co-exists within his own family. Kris has chosen educational and employment opportunities that support access to the democratic process and safeguard social justice for all.

Jasmine will graduate from UCLA Medical School - Drew Program in Spring, 2009. After graduating, Jasmine will begin residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center specializing in OB/GYN and oncology. Before attending medical school, Jasmine earned a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University and two Bachelors of Arts degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.
Feminist activist and Susan Boyle enthusiast, Cari is earning her JD at UCLA School of Law. For four years Cari served as a policy advisor on Capitol Hill, most notably as director of the Congressional Pro-Choice Choice Caucus on behalf of Congresswoman Louis Slaughter. Ever aware of those who fought the good fight to make her life possible, Cari is committed to championing women's rights and empowerment for future generations.Cari Simon

Stephanie has pursued various nonprofit adventures since moving to Los Angeles in 2003. She has worked with homeless women in crisis pregnancy, kids with HIV/AIDS, gifted middle school children, homeless adults looking for jobs, and is currently working in corporate relations for the largest free clinic in the nation. She is interested in creating change which has led her to become a certified life coach and a committed ResponsAbility X-er. She loves to go to random events in L.A. and is always lookin' for something new.

 

 

Indika grew up on the beautiful island of Sri lLnka and moved out to the states to  pursue hotel management. After a couple years in Texas, he moved to sunny L.A. to work at a boutique hotel in West Hollywood. He has always had an interest in green living and was thrilled to stumble upon ResponsAbility (X), where he can make a practical difference.

Sandra Keats
Sandra spends most of her time scouring news articles, exploring the depths of the internet, and talking to Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans and their families to find the subjects and stories that appear on In Their Boots. A native of New Jersey and past resident of Wyoming, Colorado, and New York, Sandra is still perplexed by Los Angeles, where she has also worked as a production assistant and coordinator on several national commercials.
Mike is a writer. His work has appeared in Backpacker, Details, Esquire.com, Los Angeles Times, Men’s Journal, New York Times Magazine, Salon.com, Skiing, Sports Afield, Sports Illustrated Women, 5280 (Denver’s city magazine), and many other national publications. Mike lives in Los Angeles with his lady friend and their two street terriers. He enjoys outdoorsy sports like skiing, cycling, surfing, and hiking, and indoorsy pursuits like watching HBO.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder in May of 2008 with degrees in Theatre and Political Science.
